About the event

Veterans Pulse Check #1: Closing the Gap — Health Equity for All Who Served

Premieres Veterans Day, November 11, 2025

PEP!IN (People Empowering People for Inclusion Now) and the Multi-Faith Veterans Initiative (MVI) at DePaul University are proud to launch Veterans Pulse Check — a new virtual conversation series dedicated to amplifying veteran voices and advancing equitable access to health, wellness, and research opportunities.

This inaugural session, “Closing the Gap: Health Equity for All Who Served,” brings together healthcare leaders, researchers, and veteran advocates to explore what true health equity looks like for those who’ve served our nation. From systemic barriers and cultural competence to clinical research inclusion and policy advocacy, this conversation sheds light on where progress is being made — and where we still have work to do.

Veterans Pulse Checks are designed to spark real dialogue, highlight community expertise, and connect veterans and their families to trusted resources and research engagement…
